Description of Medical Service

1. Breast reconstruction surgery, which involves replacement of missing breast volume by surgical methods:

• following mastectomy due to cancer (including prophylactic mastectomy);
• to correct trauma to the breast;
• to address congenital deformities; or
• to correct severe breast ptosis.

2. Primary and revision breast augmentation

Description of Medical Condition

Mentor textured breast implants and tissue expanders are one of several surgical options used in patients undergoing breast reconstruction and breast augmentation.
