Mr John Stubbs - Biography

Nineteen years ago John was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. Since that time, he has been a committed and passionate advocate for people affected by cancer and chronic disease. He holds degrees in Accounting and Arts and is a regular speaker at medical conferences and seminars on health policy, advocacy, clinical trials and related issues. He is currently a member of four health boards at both state and federal levels. He holds an Honorary Associate position with the University of Sydney, School of Medicine for his work in the promotion of Clinical Trials in this country.

John has contributed to patient booklets and is a contributor to over 42 research papers as an Associate Investigator, edited booklets for the Cancer Councils and Cancer Australia and contributed to government policy on health, cancer services and the value of consumer involvement.
