Dr Noela WHITBY AM MBBS (Qld) Diploma in Practical Dermatology (Cardiff) Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition (Deakin) FRACGP.

Noela Whitby has been the GP Principal of Carindale Medical Clinic, an independent, multi-doctor family medical practice in Brisbane’s south-east, since 1979. She has previously worked as a general practitioner in the UK.

Noela is Deputy Chair of the RACGP Queensland Faculty Board. She has a long involvement in quality and safety in healthcare, and is past Chair of the RACGP Practice Standards Committee and past Chair of the accreditation body, Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL).

Noela is a director of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) and past Chair of the National Asthma Council Australia.

Noela has represented both the Australian Medical Association and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners on a number of State and Commonwealth committees and organisations throughout her career. She has also been involved in both undergraduate and registrar medical education and in general practitioner education on womens’ health.

Noela is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In 2006 Noela was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for service to medicine through contributions to professional organisations and programs promoting quality standards in healthcare, and to the community.
