Professor David Little



Professor David Little (Sydney) is Head of Orthopaedic Research and Biotechnology and a staff orthopaedic surgeon at Westmead Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor in the department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Sydney. A/Professor Little qualified in medicine from the University of Sydney and following orthopaedic training he was awarded the FRACS in 1996. From 1993-1995 he undertook fellowships in paediatric orthopaedics in the USA at Shriner’s Hospital for Children (Portland) and the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital of Children. Professor Little received his PhD for bone research in 2005. He has received five NHMRC research grants and has published over 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been awarded the 2011 John Mitchell Crouch Fellowship, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeon’s pre-eminent research award.
