Description of Medical Service

MRI of the heart and vascular structures, function and perfusion (blood flow) where there is suspicion of heart artery blockage (in patients presenting with chest pain), heart muscle damage and heart failure and evidence of congenital heart disease.

Description of Medical Condition

Cardiac MRI may have application in diagnosis of cardiology disease processes including ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, congenital heart disease, and other vascular disease.
