Service or technology in this application
Efanesoctocog alfa is a factor VIII replacement treatment. Factor VIII is a protein that helps blood clot. The treatment combines laboratory-made factor VIII with part of another clotting protein called von Willebrand factor and with man-made protein chains called XTEN.
Medical condition this application addresses
Haemophilia A is a genetic condition that lasts throughout life. People with this condition do not have enough clotting factor VIII, a protein that helps blood clot. As a result, bleeding may be excessive, painful and last a long time. It can happen without a clear cause, after a minor injury, or after major injury or surgery. Most bleeding occurs in the joints, while some occurs in the muscles.
