Lifileucel is an immunotherapy made from a person's own immune cells. These cells, called tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes, are collected from the person's tumour, grown in a laboratory and returned to the person to help the immune system attack the cancer.
Medical condition this application addresses
Advanced melanoma is a serious type of skin cancer. In the patients that would be treated with lifileucel, the melanoma has either spread to other parts of the body or cannot be removed with surgery.
